Once You Start, You Cannot Stop.
We can all relate to this...
I have tasks that I absolutely dread doing. I only dread tasks that I find extremely boring, such as writing a paper on a subject I do not care about or doing laundry. I dislike “boring” things.
I have always been that way. Lately, I decided to get out of my own head and dive head-first into the tasks that I do not like. I have achieved success with that method.
The way I complete dreadful tasks is….
I stop thinking about how dreadful the tasks are, and I do it, literally. I meditate first and get into a mindset of “you will finish this task, you can do it, you got this!”. I listen to music to pump myself up. After those 2 methods, I am ready to rock and roll!! Once I get into the groove, I am ready.
Sometimes we can get into our own head and make a task harder than it seems. (Yes, I know we can not help ourselves. We love to procrastinate).
After we complete the task, we are like, “oh, it was not that bad!”
Just do it. Once you become immersed in the task, it will be hard to stop.
